May 1, 2008 The "hosemonkeys" are national champions! The IAFF Local 3572's softball team, "the hosemonkeys", were crowned National Champions after winning their respective division during the 2008 Vegas 4-alarm classic, which was held in Las Vegas, Nevada from April 28th to May 1st. The team made it past the round-robin phase with only one loss, which they later avenged in the double elimination format. The "hosemonkeys" finished the tournament with a record of 8-1, and their average score was 20+ runs per game. |
